1885 @ Eastern & Oriental Hotel _ Penang
Wednesday, May 12th, 2010
Just now Seow Wei asked me to declare my blog to become “DEAD”. What she said seemed to be true also as nowadays I hardly update my blog. Hmm…. I need to drop by here more often to keep my blog “ALIVE”.
This post I promised Ching Ling that I would write about it since we went to this place in beginning of April. I know this has been quite outdated for me to blog about it but at least I still kept my promise.

Took a group photo before we left the place.
The 1885 offers classical yet contemporary cuisine in an elegant environment. The selection of inventive fusion dishes from our highly trained chefs, accompanied by a superb selection of wines, has marked The 1885 as the perfect choice for an enjoyable dining experience.
We went there for the English Afternoon Tea. This was the place suggested and booked by Ching Ling.
Different kind of Tea, Butter Milk Scones and Fruit Scones with Strawberry Jam and Clotted Cream, sandwiches like Smoke Salmon, Tuna and Cucumber & Dill, assorted cakes like carrot cakes, chocolate moist cakes, fruit cakes, cream puffs, chocolate cookies, and blueberry cakes.
A few close up shots of the yummy food…
